These are images of God's name i"Elohim" in Hebrew, tattooed on my back. The water-based process does not leave a permanent mark, but simply raises blood to the surface of the skin. As my skin heals, I document the fading of the image of the name of God into the human flesh. I use its disappearance in an attempt to pinpoint the exact moment when the human skin and the divine word merge into one.
